‘Fuff’ and ‘Faff’

According to the Oxford English Dictionary (UK) online ‘fuff’ has many meanings.  The first is to ‘Puff’.  You could plausibly fuff-up a pillow,  or fuff into a balloon… 
 
"To fuss, to dither. Often with about"
 
I might fuff while I’m faffing about….
