Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to assess the merits of this statement in less than 1,000 words with direct comparative reference to other belief systems such as religion, democracy, capitalism and the BMI.
Bonus points will be awarded for:
- using the words ‘ideology’, ‘epistemology’, paradigm’, ‘discourse’, ’shopping’ and ‘anorexia’ judiciously and appropriately.
- a coherent, succinct, balanced, well structured

- undetectable plagiarism of authors that are better at this than you.
- working out what I believe then writing the assignment to align with my beliefs.
- flattery and bribes (beer & cheese).
Points will be deducted for:
- illegibility where either your spelling, grammar, or handwriting is worse than mine.
- peanut butter or other suspicious sticky-stains on the assignment.
- overshooting the 1000 word limit.
- gratuitous use of plastic surgery or interest-free credit agreements.
- disparaging references to my mum.
