Bideford towards the seaThis could be many places in the world. It reminds me of the pacific north west USA coastline, La Conner.

On a cold November afternoon Bideford, Devon, is beautifully calm with a sky full of colour. When I took this photograph I was in exactly the right place, nowhere else I’d rather be.

Hey Wendy! That’s a cracking photo. I’ve taken lots of skies lately, it must be the time of year. And by the way, a pox on your word verification; today’s was “(word removed by wendy – see play nicely rule 7)”. I hate that bloody word. Probably because people use it about me, and I associate it with “dickhead”. Or something. Indigo

It’s a beautiful little place – my father grew up in Barnstaple, so we used to visit the area in summer, including Bideford. I’ve never seen it in winter though, until now – lovely!

(In a strange coincidence, my great aunt just moved to Bideford, and called here earlier today to give her new phone number. Small world!)
