No traffic jams for cyclists on Brighton train station. Its systematic and cyclistically focussed, its Queuing! Hoorah, I do love a good queue. Unfortunately I’d come-over all pedestrian so wasn’t eligible for participation. Pooeeeey
Two slim elderly gentleman rest their walking sticks as they wait to cross the road in downtown London. Flat caps keep their heads warm, cardigans sensibly cover their torsos in the cool spring sunshine. The modern office block in the background reflects the sun and current fashion.
Despite the provision of FREE buses to get from downtown Reading to the Thames Valley business Park (TVP) I regularly walk.
This has the fabulous side effect of keeping me fit, for FREE!
Homebase Till Operator (HTO): would you like me to help you carry this to you car?
Wendy: I don’t have a car, or a fitness club subscription
HTO: …
do you walk down corridors on the same side as you drive on the road?
I bump into Americans at corridor corners after forgetting to walk on the right… …followed by a side-step-dance as we try unsuccessfully to bypass each other…
Yesterday we went for a short ‘hike’.

Actually it was more of a ‘stroll’ along Boulder River. Once we arrived at the waterfalls it was more of a ‘scramble’. Scrambling over rocks, through the river along and up fallen tree-trunks. I got to hug a tree or two, mainly through fear of falling into the water below as we crossed the river!
I took over 50 photographs. Mainly of moss, boulders, ferns, trees…. They will help inspire a painting composition.

Snow Lake is at the end of a 4 mile hike from Snoqualmie pass (Alpentol) into the Alpine Lake region. The gentle hike was a fabulous way to spend a sunny 3rd July. The scenery and light were exquisit.
The hike was busy, as you pass people you catch teasing snippits of their conversations:
“…I must get a new heart…”
“… I’m not interested in dating…”
“…so you use a VPN from home?…”
“…we can catch a boat from Vladivostoc…”
The mosquitos by the lake were numerous. I took way too many photographs. This is my favourite:
